Seed garlic is considered to be 2-inch garlic and larger, and eating garlic is usually less than 2-inch. However, all sizes of garlic, including 2-inch and above are fantastic for eating. With the porcelains, which have only 4-6 cloves, all cloves may be planted. When they are less than 2-inch, they may have only 2 cloves, but each clove would still be large enough to plant.
